CREATION OF TECHNOLOGY-BASED COMPANIES.

Ricardo Ibarra is founding partner and scientific advisor of NanoScale Biomagentics –Spin-off of the University of Zaragoza-, and Nanoimmunotech –Spin-off of the Univeristy of Zaragoza and University of Vigo.

nB NanoScale Biomagnetics (http://www.nbnanoscale.com) is a technology-based company dedicated to production and services in scientific and biomedical instruments.

nB is a project initiated from its origin in the spirit of R&D, standing in the frontier between basic research and industrial implementation.

Formed in 2008 as a Spin off Company of the Zaragoza University, nB enters the market on 2010 with its DM Series of field applicators and magnetic hyperthermia accesories, the first technological solution in magnetic hyperthermia available in the market.

nB devotes part of its resources to contributing to external research groups, with the purpose of developing prevailing instrumentation equipments, either for final use or trading, either for MHT.

Nanoimmunotech (https://www.nanoimmunotech.eu) is a Spanish company in the Nanobiotechnology sector, founded in August 2009, recognized as EIBT (Empresa Innovadora de Base Tecnológica) and Spin off of University of Zaragoza and University of Vigo.

First European company dedicated to the biological and physico-chemical characterization and functionalization of nanoparticles (conjugation with different molecules such as nucleid acids, enzimes, antibodies, carbohydrates, peptides) and production of specific monoclonal antibodies (on demand). The company has highly qualified and internationally recognized human resources, standardized protocols and finally, the know how to perform proper supervision, advice and validation of different nanosystems, as a first step to the previous use of nanoparticles in biomedical applications.

Their main area of activity is focused on biomedical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, veterinary and agro-food market and research groups dedicated to the synthesis of nanostructures with potential biomedical application in vivo.

Graphene Nanotech S. L. (GPNT) (http://www.gpnt.es) is a technology-based company that was established on March 2014 to investigate, produce and distribute high-quality epitaxial graphene grown on Silicon Carbide (SiC) substrates.
